Dani James
Writer | Translator
Dani James is a writer and translator. Born in New York City, she grew up in Belgium before making her way back home.
She holds a BA in English from Baruch College and an MFA in Creative Writing from the Writer’s Foundry at St. Joseph’s University.
Her English translation of Return to the Place I Never Left by Tobias Schiff was published January 2025. It’s available to order via all bookstores and major retailers.
Return to the Place I Never Left is a winner of the 2025 National Jewish Book Award and Wayne State University Press bestseller.
